Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the publisher commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was reached following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour involving women.
The company declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
