No Favorable Result - Citizens Across the US Share Worries About the Funding Lapse

US lawmakers from both factions are pointing fingers as thousands of workers remain on furlough and the shutdown continues with no conclusion in prospect.

Democrats have declined to endorse the GOP spending plan unless ending medical assistance which they say many laboring parents count on are continued.

Republicans want the opposition to approve a temporary legislation beforehand and then they can address the financial aid.

Misty Dennis, Mid-Forties, Republican

This Golden State resident is anxious about the widespread consequences of the closure on everyday people.

The Republicans have fifty-three supporters, they need 60 to enact the bill. Is it that difficult to find common ground over seven supporters so that Americans avoid harm?

If this continues for another week or two, the truth is Americans are being harmed, the populace are being touched by this and someone must do something to be the responsible party in the room.

I think sometimes legislators are so distant from ordinary citizens, the average individual managing daily affairs, so they overlook what the hardship is like and I feel they need to remember that, notably if it's a large number of US citizens that are without income.

That's a lot of citizens missing wages, that's a large group of citizens failing to contribute their money into the economic system. The public are just being hurt.

A Democratic Voter, Twenty-Two, Democrat

This Old Line State voter acknowledges this funding lapse will create hardship to many US citizens, but she feels it is a worthy struggle.

I'm concerned because there is no favorable conclusion with the federal government being shut down.

I'm very concerned about what's going to transpire to poor households, learners who rely on public aid and government workers.

But this is a worthwhile battle for the Democratic Party to pursue. Naturally positions are going to be lost, initiatives are going to face budget shortfalls, which is so disappointing but I feel that is responsibility that the Democratic Party would have on their conscience.

I think it's valuable to hold out, this is delivering a meaningful signal to their supporters.

Punal Bhavsar, 36, Democrat

This Golden State citizen is anxious the Democrats are missing tactics in their closure plan.

I question if the Senate Democratic leader has a roadmap for an exit strategy to talks or how to guide the party away from this.

I don't know if the Democratic Party have a strong enough message to the American people on what they're doing.

In terms of digital outreach, the GOP clearly have the advantage. The communication is not persuasive on what the left are aiming for.

I'm presently at a juncture where I'm kind of concerned because federal closures hurt everyone.

I'm going to be unaffected, but for the rest who depends on the federal system, who plans to explore a National Park or gallery, they're going to be affected, if not now, then in the near future.

And that is unacceptable.

A Republican Voter, Fifty-Five, GOP Supporter

This Indiana resident states the left are acting strategically with regular citizens and their livelihood.

This is usual political maneuvering. It is a stopgap measure they are trying to pass, that the Democrats reject.

People are referring to it as a Democratic closure, it's not due to the Republicans, it's due to the Democratic leader, he's proceeding to maintain influence within his own party - in the meantime, everyone's in the lurch.

I fail to observe that this is going to end.

The average Americans are caught in the middle, and Democrats are willing to harm them. They're failing to do their cause any advantages when they really hold up issues like this.

A Democratic Voter, Late Twenties, Democrat

This Florida citizen claims the Democratic strategy is a difficult but essential one and one that impacts his sister, who has been placed on leave because of the funding gap.

Democrats' plan is a challenging one, but unfortunately it is a essential one.

They have failed to do much to impede or stop the current administration's policies.

I support their approach, I support their rationale for doing it.

The administration leader is a bully and if you yield to a bully he's going to demand additional concessions, that's how bullies behave. So you have to resist a bully to make him recognise you're not going to concede for free.

The moment when it goes too far is when the Democratic Party start failing in the public relations war, if the perception shifts to faulting the left then it might be time to call it quits.

A Republican Voter, 64, GOP Supporter

This Arizona resident is unaffected by the closure so he is supportive of the halt lasting a while, if that is what it requires for Republicans to prevail.

I would think after the period that the left have had, I would have anticipated that they would have agreed to the continuing resolution, at least in the short term.

I am in favor of what the GOP are attempting, I'm fully supportive of lowering government spending.

The left have turned so antagonistic of the administration, no matter what he offers I think they would look for excuses to oppose him.

I individually am unaffected by the urgency that other people are, this leaves me untouched.

The limited we do dependent on the government - what it does provide for us - the closure is will not affect us {whatsoever|at all|in any
